It was the continued communication with Leobardo, from this moment, that led to AKHAMANI\u2019s invitation to the Chickaban New Fire Ceremony and to our acceptance to attend in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the winter of 2022, AKHAMANI undertook a three-week pilgrimage through Mexico. The main intention was to continue to cultivate an existing Mexico-Tibet Bridge and foster alliances between the wisdom lineages of Mexico and Tibet. One aspect of the pilgrimage was to attend the Regina House and offer a prayer to Don Antonio Velasco Pi\u00f1a and Regina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Akhamani\u2019s Regina House Prayer, 2022<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who Was Antonio Velasco Pi\u00f1a (&#8220;Don Antonio&#8221;)<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Antonio Velasco Pi\u00f1a (1935\u20132020) was a prominent Mexican spiritual author and historian best known for his influential 1987 book <strong><em>Regina: 2 de octubre no se olvida<\/em><\/strong>. The book follows Regina, a figure trained by Tibetan Buddhist masters in the Himalayas who returns to Mexico to lead a spiritual awakening. Velasco Pi\u00f1a&#8217;s followers frequently held gatherings and spiritual pilgrimages centered around Mexican-Tibetan syncretism and sites associated with Regina in Mexico City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Akhamani\u2019s Relationship with Don Anotonio<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Don Antonio Velasco Pi\u00f1a, as communicated to Crizalia by Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez, hoped to work with AKHAMANI to support our ongoing effort to continue cultivating a Mexico-Tibet bridge. Don Antonio had his own legacy of work with the Buddhist community in Mexico and had, himself, met the Dalai Lama during one of his visits to Mexico. Upon hearing that Don Antonio Velasco Pi\u00f1a wished to work with AKHAMANI, Crizalia agreed to meet with him, during our pilgrimage, to discuss how to fulfill this request. Sadly, Don Antonio Velasco Pi\u00f1a passed away before our arrival in 2022 and did not get to work with us or be part of our work with the bridge. In his honor, AKHAMANI organized and headed, with the lead of venerable Khenpo Tsultrim Tenzin Rinpoche, all of the ceremonial work necessary to offer a prayer in honour of Don Antonio Velasco Pi\u00f1a, Regina, and their legacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Venerable Khenpo Tsultrim Tenzin Rinpoche carried out the ceremony, with the assistance of Crizalia Le Blan, in the room of Regina, at the house of Don Antonio Velasco Pi\u00f1a. Participating AKHAMANI members, ambassador Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez, and some of his trusted friends were present to witness the ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the brief stop to deliver the prayer at Regina\u2019s home, AKHAMANI continued the planned pilgrimage to carry forward years of preparation and ceremony to further strengthen the already established Mexico\u2013Tibet bridge. Crizalia Le Blan and venerable Khenpo Tsultrim Tenzin Rinpoche continued to lead the ceremonial work alongside local elders at sacred sites, including the volcanoes and other locations throughout Mexico. Understandably, Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez could not join AKHAMANI throughout this pilgrimage as he had prior commitments.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We thank Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez for having communicated the wish of Don Antonio Velasco Pi\u00f1a to work with AKHAMANI in our effort to continue cultivating the Mexico-Tibet Bridge. We also thank him for speaking to the sister of Don Antonio Velasco Pi\u00f1a so that AKHAMANI could bring a ceremonial prayer to honor Don Antonio and Regina at their house. Though a link could not be established between Don Antonio Velasco Pi\u00f1a and AKHAMANI\u2019s ongoing work with the Mexico-Tibet bridge, we are honored that he considered working with us in the endeavor.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Together\u2014venerable Khenpo Tsultrim Tenzin Rinpoche, local elders, and Crizalia Le Blan\u2014worked to bring to fruition a prophecy, about Tibet &amp; Mexico, preserved for thousands of years in Otom\u00ed oral transmission.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To this day, AKHAMANI\u2019S work continues across Mexico to strengthen and cultivate the Mexico-Tibet&nbsp; bridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Akhamani\u2019s Mongolia Pilgrimage, 2024&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the ceremony at Regina\u2019s house, AKHAMANI continued to assist Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez, by facilitating some interviews with the ambassadors of AKHAMANI. Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez, showed a willingness to grow and a desire to share the ancestral wisdom of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2024, AKHAMANI organized and led a pilgrimage, with the guidance of our ambassador the Lovon Lama Shagdarsuren Bayanjargal, across the sacred sites of Mongolia, through the Gobi Desert and into the Khamar, Ulgii, and Erdene Zuu Monasteries as well as to the T\u00f6vkh\u00f6n Temple.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Understanding that Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez wished to grow and learn about the ancestral wisdom of the world,&nbsp; AKHAMANI sponsored and invited him as a participant to this journey to assist his growth and personal development.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Regina House: Consecration of 3 Poposhkomis<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez spoke to Jesus Fabian Ortiz Olivera about his invitation as a participant to the Mongolia pilgrimage organized and led by AKHAMANI. He suggested to Abuelo Fabian that they should try to establish a possible alliance among the ancient lineages of Mexico and Mongolia during the pilgrimage. Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez then spoke to Crizalia about this idea.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After many years of ceremonial work and travel to and from Mongolia, Crizalia had already established and built a stable and strong alliance between the ancestral lineages of Mexico and Mongolia. Her influence in opening up the door for an alliance between Abuelo Fabian and the Lovon Lama Shagdarsuren Bayanjargal, of the Erdene Zuu Monastery and T\u00f6vkh\u00f6n Temple in Mongolia, was vital and necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After agreement on this idea between Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez, Abuelo Fabian, and Crizalia, the intention was set to work toward making this exchange possible. In this hope, Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez was allowed to carry the message of the Chickaban New Fire Ashes in the name of the Supreme Olmec Council and Abuelo Fabian.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Delivery of the Poposhkomi to Leobardo<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After Abuelo Fabian consecrated the incense holders, he instructed his wife Monserrat to hand them to Leobardo with the following instructions:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">To establish the alliance, Jesus Fabian Ortiz Olivera led a ceremony at Regina\u2019s house to consecrate three incense holders, one of which would be delivered to the Lovon Lama in Mongolia along with the ashes, another one to Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez, and another one to Crizalia.<em>With the blessing and permission of the spirits of Regina and Grandfather Antonio Velasco Pi\u00f1a, I have the honor of presenting this poposhkomi\u2014a symbol of the fire and the work of each of them. May we continue their legacy; it is destined for its appointed place. And here, Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez, is present to carry the message to Mongolia.<br><br>This [second] poposhkomi is presented on behalf of the Supreme Council and with the permission of Grandfather Antonio Velasco Pi\u00f1a and Grandmother Regina. We continue their legacy, cherish their memory, and\u2014above all\u2014do not forget what they taught us. We follow their path, and this poposhkomi is entrusted to you to take to France.<br><br>And this [third] poposhkomi\u2014a symbol of work, effort, and dedication. The Olmec Elders, through the Supreme Council of the Olmecs, acknowledge your effort and dedication. [Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez] you now stand as a witness to this path; through your own experience, you honor your ancestors and the Elders of the path, placing yourself at their service and honoring their memory. We remember the path they walked, and we continue to keep alive what they taught us.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8212; Montserrat<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez agreed with the instructions and received the three incense holders, the Chickaban New Fire Ashes and took the responsibility to deliver one to the Lovon Lama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Offering of Ashes &amp; Poposhkomi to the Lovon Lama<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Crizalia organized all of the work and participated in, as well as sponsored, all of the ceremonies required to open the way for the balanced offering of the incense holder and the Chickaban new fire ashes. Many discussions were led by Crizalia and the Lovon Lama to organize and establish the proper reception of the ashes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On September 12, 2024, Crizalia opened up the Conversation to express that Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez was ready to present the offering of the Chickaban new fire ashes and the consecrated incense holder; allowing Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez the possibility to express the message he brought and what each item being offered represented. After Leobardo delivered his message, the Lovon Lama took the word.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Lovon Lama expressed to Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez that the alliance was already established through Crizalia; through her work and spiritual practice across her many years of involvement with the Monastery. However, he warmly welcomes the ancestors of Crizalia and the message presented by Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez, designated ambassador of the message of the Olmec Council and the ashes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez offered the consecrated incense holder and the Chickaban new fire ashes in the name of the Olmec ancestors. The Lovon lama received them in the name of Crizalia, to be placed facing north, in a yurt that has been designated as her home in the monastery. He did this to link the Olmec ancestors through her, in Mongolia. In their tradition, an alliance is only possible if you walk with them; live with them; &amp; know their way of life. Thus, he expressed, <em>only she could be the appropriate link to this alliance.<\/em> With that said, he received the ashes and the incense holder. He sternly addressed Crizalia and reminded her that, since she spoke on behalf of Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez and the Olmec Council, from that point on, she has the responsibility to maintain that link alive. To present day, Crizalia continues to maintain and cultivate this link through ongoing pilgrimages and work with the Lovon Lama and several other monasteries across Mongolia.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Akhamani\u2019s Participation to the Chickaban New Fire Ceremony&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of 2024, AKHAMANI organized and led a pilgrimage in Mexico to continue to cultivate the understanding of the wisdom of the desert &#8211; especially in Wirikuta. This year, after the work of establishing a link between the Olmec council and the Lovon Lama in Mongolia, AKHAMANI accepted Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez\u2019s invitation to participate in the lighting of the Chickaban New Fire Ceremony led by Jesus Fabian.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AKHAMANI ambassador Usawuabi and Crizalia Co-lead the pilgrimage across Wirikuta in Mexico. Prior to our arrival in Mexico, we were in sacred fire ceremonies and fasted to prepare ourselves for the journey ahead.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AKHAMANI participated in the Chickaban New Fire Ceremony in silence, fasting, and in centered prayer. At the end of the ceremony, Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez presented one of the three consecrated incense holders to Crizalia, while Abuelo Fabian presented a Pebetero and ashes from the fire ceremony to AKHAMANI. From this point forward, AKHAMANI has acted as custodian of these ashes, carrying them throughout many pilgrimages across the world, making them present in all future ceremonies that we were part of, and eventually uniting them to the Universal Fire Mandala.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is Known About the Chickaban New Fire Ashes Based on the Olmec Council<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus Fabian Ortiz, from the municipality of Minatitl\u00e1n, Veracruz, established the practice of the Chickaban new fire ceremony and the Supreme Olmec Council, which was made up of four elders: El Chaneque of San Andr\u00e9s Tuxtla, Veracruz; Don Rolando Sol\u00eds Cayoso of Tres Zapotes, Veracruz; Don F\u00e9lix Ram\u00edrez of San Lorenzo Tenochtitl\u00e1n, Veracruz; and Don Rafael Rueda del Le\u00f3n of Tortuguero Hill, Tabasco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His work of reconstructing and establishing what is now known as the Chickaban New Fire Ceremony unfolded in several stages. First, the route of Olmec initiation through An\u00e1huac\u2014associated with the origins of the Toltecs and the ancient founders of Toltec wisdom\u2014was walked privately. In 2000, the New Fire of Chickaban, secretly reconstructed and revived through a line of descent spanning several generations, was unveiled. The first public lighting ceremony took place in 2006 in the ancient, mythical capital of Wewetlalpallan. Ashes from the new fire were then offered to the different traditions of An\u00e1huac that attended. From that year onward, the new Chickaban fire began its journey throughout An\u00e1huac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2007, the New Fire journeyed through Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz. It was lit at sea, near the mouth of the Coatzacoalcos River, and traveled upstream to the archaeological site of San Lorenzo Tenochtitl\u00e1n. In 2008, the fire was held in the Mayan city of Xoclan, M\u00e9rida, Yucat\u00e1n. The following year, it was held at Ek Balam, in the eco-village of Kaxan Xuul, whose name means \u201cthe end of the search.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2010, the flame was carried to the Hill of the Star at Huizatepetl. That year, ceremonies were also held in Mayap\u00e1n, Chich\u00e9n Itz\u00e1, Uxmal, and Izamal, as well as at Tula and on Xicuco Hill in Hidalgo. The Chickaban flame also formed part of Mexico\u2019s Bicentennial celebration of national independence. The fire continued to be held at these Yucat\u00e1n and Hidalgo sites in 2011 and 2012. In 2012, it was also lit at Tortuguero Hill, in the Olmec-Maya archaeological zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ceremony returned to Ek Balam in 2013. In 2014, it was held in the Garden of Abundance in Amatl\u00e1n, Morelos, and in 2015 at the Hill of the Star in Iztapalapa, Mexico City. In 2016, the fire was held at Hacienda La Luna in Morelos. The following year, the New Chickaban Fire was carried to the sacred mountain of Poyauntecatl, Citlalt\u00e9petl, or the Peak of Orizaba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2017, a group was formed to foster consciousness through practical study. Its classes focused on Toltec culture from the worldview of the Olmec tradition, with the aim of developing the spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2018, the fire was lit in Amatl\u00e1n de Quetzalc\u00f3atl, Morelos, during the Quetzalc\u00f3atl Festival. That year, the group also established headquarters in Ecatepec, State of Mexico, and Amatl\u00e1n de Quetzalc\u00f3atl. Ashes were exchanged with elders from Huizatepetl and the Hill of the Star in Iztapalapa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2019, the Chickaban ashes were brought together with those of different guardians of An\u00e1huac\u2019s traditions at the archaeological site of Cuicuilco. That year, workshops and retreats were also held in several states of Mexico, sharing teachings on the return of the jaguar-serpent and on \u201cthe art of making and being a Toltec throughout An\u00e1huac.\u201d The fire was also lit in the city of the jaguar-serpent, described as the mythical capital of the Toltecs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2020, the New Chickaban Fire was lit on the mountain of Miclantecutli in Estanzuela, Hidalgo. In 2021, it was lit among the Seven Lights of the Guanajuato Valley. In 2022, the ceremony took place at Los Azufres, Michoac\u00e1n, and in 2023, at Tlilapan, Veracruz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2024, the gathering took place from November 15 to 17 at Hacienda Tultengo in the municipality of Tepeapulco, Hidalgo, and at the Otom\u00ed Ceremonial Center in Temoaya, State of Mexico. This year, the New Chickaban Year fire was also lit on December 21 and 22, during the winter solstice and the birth of Huitzilopochtli.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fire continues to be lit and maintained even after the death of Jesus Fabian Ortiz Olivera in 2025.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is Known About the Chickaban New Fire Based on the Codices<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The chickaban new fire ceremony is a recent reconstruction that blends different practices of ancient Anahuac (mesoamerican) fire ceremonies, into one, as an attempt to revive a new fire ceremony. That said, it is important for us to maintain the integrity of the ashes that have been united to the Universal Fire Mandala by genuinely presenting and describing what has been united. Thus, we will introduce the chickaban new fire ashes as recent. We honor and respect them accordingly and feel grateful that we were entrusted to receive them. We also acknowledge the effort and work, as written above, of Abuelo Fabian who worked to build this new fire ceremony. We thank him for his trust in AKHAMANI and for offering us the ashes of the Chickaban new fire.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Integrity, honesty, transparency, and the proper accounting of the facts about the ashes that we unite are primordial to the harmony and balance of the Universal Fire Mandala Ashes that AKHAMANI is custodian of. Thus, we also introduce what is known about this practice based on what is written in the codices, the ancient texts of Anahuac (mesoamerica). This way, the ancient wisdom left behind by the keepers of the ancient fire ceremony and the story of the birth of the modern chickaban fire, as led &amp; taught by Abuelo Fabian, can compliment each other in helping us best understand what they signify.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The name Chickab\u00e1n appeals to contemporary ceremonial movements because it has a genuine colonial basis: Diego de Landa describes it as a Yucatec Maya festival associated with Kukulc\u00e1n and a new fire. However, modern Chickab\u00e1n ceremonies often freely combine Maya elements with Nahua calendrical concepts, Toltec and Pleiades symbolism, Olmec associations, astronomical interpretations, and universalist spirituality. They may therefore be meaningful contemporary expressions and creative expansions of pan-Mesoamerican tradition, but should not be presented as the unchanged reconstruction of a single ancient rite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most responsible historical conclusion is that Chickab\u00e1n was an attested Yucatec Maya festival associated with Kukulc\u00e1n, ritual fasting, procession, sacred images, copal, offerings, dance, prayer, and a new fire. Its exact etymology, theological significance, and complete ritual structure remain uncertain. The surviving evidence (mesoamerian codices &amp; other known expert texts) does not identify it as a 52-year ceremony equivalent to the Mexica Xiuhmolpilli. Nor does it establish an Olmec origin, a Pleiades-centered cosmology, or an uninterrupted lineage extending from the pre-Columbian Olmec period into contemporary practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The modern Chickab\u00e1n New Fire ceremony is therefore best understood as a Maya-oriented ceremonial revitalization or reconstruction. It preserves genuine ancestral motifs\u2014fire, offerings, Kukulc\u00e1n, communal devotion, calendrical renewal, fasting, and ritual performance\u2014while creatively expanding them through elements drawn from the documented Mexica New Fire, Maya calendrical symbolism, contemporary astronomical interpretation, Pleiades-centered cosmology, and the teachings of modern ceremonial authors such as Frank D\u00edaz. These additions may constitute contemporary spiritual tradition, but they should be identified as interpretation and adaptation rather than presented as directly documented ancient practice or uninterrupted ancient lineage fires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The historically documented 52-year New Fire ceremony remains the Nahua\/Mexica Xiuhmolpilli, represented in Central Mexican codices and described in colonial Nahua sources. It involved the completion of the 52-year Calendar Round and possessed a specific calendrical, sacrificial, astronomical, and political structure. Chickab\u00e1n was a different Yucatec Maya festival whose surviving description includes a new fire but does not establish the same calendrical or cosmological framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Accordingly, the two traditions may be compared on the level of shared Mesoamerican concerns\u2014fire as renewal, the restoration of cosmic order, communal offering, divine presence, and the transition between cycles\u2014but they should not be presented as identical. The xiuhmolpilli is an ancestrally authentic ceremony that is documented as a 52-year Central Mexican rite. Chickab\u00e1n is a historically attested Maya festival that has become the foundation for a meaningful but substantially modern ceremonial adaptation. For those seeking a genuine understanding of ancestral ceremony, this distinction preserves both historical integrity and respect for the creative vitality of contemporary original peoples and Anahuac (Mesoamerican) ritual practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Akhamani\u2019s Work With the Chickaban Ashes Since They Were Received<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the reception of the Chickaban new fire ashes in November of 2024, AKHAMANI invited its members who were present during the chickaban new fire ceremony to enter a stage of contemplation over what it meant to be custodians of the Chickaban ashes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout 2025, Akhamani lit four all night sacred fire ceremonies during the major solar events &#8211; equinoxes and solstices. This was done with the intention to awaken the dormant fire lineage of Europe. During each of the ceremonies, the Chickaban ashes were present, but not united to any of the fires.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tenerife, Canary Islands Pilgrimage<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the fall of 2025, AKHAMANI&nbsp; organized and led a pilgrimage in the sacred volcanic location of Tenerife. In support of Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez, AKHAMANI sponsored and invited him to be a participant in this journey so that he could continue working on himself, to learn different ancestral practices, and to be guided on how to empower the ashes that he carried at that time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main intention of the pilgrimage was to travel to one of the major power locations of Europe to empower the ashes that AKHAMANI has been carrying. This was done through the practice of a whole night silent ceremony close to the summit of El Teide. We collected volcanic ash from this sacred site to combine it with the various ashes that Crizalia was already a custodian of, the ashes of the Chickaban fire, and those gathered throughout the year, in Europe, during the fires held on the main solar events. At the end of the ceremony, Crizalia offered some of the ashes that she carried from India to Jonas, Akhamani member, and to Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez. In the same way, Jonas offered the European Fire Ashes that he had gathered during the ceremonies of 2025 to Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez and Crizalia. No ashes were offered from Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez to anyone.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mexico Pilgrimage, 2025<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the winter of 2025, AKHAMANI pilgrimaged across the sacred sites of Wirikuta in Mexico. We were guided by three marakames, including Emilio, Akhamani ambassador, and Tha Wiyaka Waken, Din\u00e9 lineage holder from North America. Led by Wix\u00e1rika elders and wisdom-keepers, a sacred fire ceremony was held in the Wix\u00e1rika sacred fire site. All of the ashes that AKHAMANI is a custodian of, including the Chickaban ashes, were presented by Crizalia and Jonas during the ceremony.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">South West Germany Pilgrimage, 2026<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the Spring Equinox of 2026, AKHAMANI led and organized a pilgrimage across the Black Forest and Swabian Alb region in the South West of Germany. The intention was to reconnect with the European ancestral roots in order to wake up the dormant ancestral fire lineage in Europe. The pilgrimage was dedicated to the sacred fire ceremony and performed to align the unification of all the ashes that AKHAMANI had gathered, from the ceremonies of the major solar event during the year, with all of the ashes that had been received from around the world, including the Chickaban ashes. This sacred act of unification was the culminating fire ceremony of the Spring Equinox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AKHAMANI\u2019s Unifying Ancestral New Fire Ceremony in Switzerland, 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2026, AKHAMANI led and organized the Unifying Ancestral New Fire Ceremony in Europe. Many lineages from around the world took part in this ancient practice of fire ceremony, joining ashes from around the world, and working as one fire. Among the elders present, AKHAMANI ambassadors Venerable Khenpo Tsultrim Tenzin Rinpoche, Venerable Khenzur Nyima Wangyal Rinpoche, and Venerable Lovon Lama Shagdarsuren Bayanjargal actively worked with AKHAMANI to lead and guide the ceremonial unfolding. Other participating lineage representatives shared their wisdom about the sacred fire ceremony. Among them were ambassadors Marakame Usawuabi and Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the ceremony, AKHAMANI united the ashes of the Chickaban new fire into the Universal Fire Mandala, fulfilling our commitment with Abuelo Fabian to unite the ashes with those of the world. Today, our work with the Chickaban ashes has culminated. However, we continue to walk as custodians of the Universal Fire Mandala, of which the Chickaban New Fire ashes are now a part of.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We thank Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez for introducing us to Abuelo Fabian, for his trust in us, and for having the courage to walk with AKHAMANI each time that we sponsored him and invited him as a participant. We hope that our programs, pilgrimages and opportunities have helped him grow as this was always the intention behind each invitation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Monlam, Borobudur, Indonesia 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In July 2026 Akhamani was allowed to invite its members to participate in the 2nd Drikung Kagyu Monlam held at the Great Mandala of Borobudur in Indonesia. We thank AKHAMANI ambassador Venerable Khenpo Tsultrim Tenzin Rinpoche for his warm welcome and the time that he shared with us during this Monlam Retreat.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In support of his spiritual growth and introducing him to Buddhist practices, Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez was invited and sponsored by AKHAMANI to attend as a participant during the pilgrimage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before the start of the event, Akhamani organized an exclusive arrival, led by Crizalia, for its members to visit the sites of Sewu, Mendut, and Pawon temples. These visits followed the sacred order of the ancestral path leading to Borobudur, where the main days of the ceremony and Dharma teachings were held.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the main intentions of the pilgrimage was to empower the Universal Fire Mandala ashes. Crizalia, with the guidance of venerable Khenpo Tsultrim Tenzin Rinpoche, led the practice of connecting the Universal Fire Mandala ashes to the sacred sites and during the ceremonies held in Indonesia. Additionally, Crizalia traveled to North Sulawesi to connect and empower the Universal Fire Mandala ashes with the sacred locations of the area.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pilgrimage Across Anatolia, 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In August 2026 AKHAMANI organized and led a journey into the heart of Anatolia\u2019s ancient plains. Various sites, where humanity\u2019s earliest organized societies and ceremonial traditions emerged, served as a way to reconnect with the wisdom of our ancestors and the universal threads that bind all of humanity. Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez was invited and sponsored to be a participant in this journey, as a continued support to his spiritual growth and experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Guided and led by Crizalia, we walked in the footsteps of our ancestors, lit fires alongside the Y\u00f6r\u00fck ancestral people, and deepened our understanding of the ancient fire ceremony. During our exchange with the Y\u00f6r\u00fck, Jonas, Akhamani member and custodian of the Fire Mandala ashes, received ashes from their sacred fire, which has been kept lit since the beginning of the tribe. With their permission, the ashes were joined to the Universal Fire Mandala. Jonas also offered ashes from the Universal Fire Mandala to Saliha G\u00f6k, the matriarch of the Tribe. Jonas also offered Ocote from Mexico and Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez offered copal.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The culmination of this pilgrimage was the ceremony held and led by Crizalia at the eternal flames on Mount Chimaera. On this full moon night, and throughout the entire journey across sacred sites, the Universal Fire Mandala ashes were presented by Crizalia and empowered by the ancient eternal blue flame of Chimera.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mexico-Tibet Bridge Pilgrimage, 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This journey is entirely organized and led by Akhamani. During our time there, we will follow in the steps of the Olmec Ancestors and work with the colossal Olmec heads. Participants will receive on-site teachings pertinent to the Olmec sites, led by Crizalia, and be guided in meditation practices lead by Venerable Khenpo Tsultrim Tenzin Rinpoche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>During this trip we will also introduce the Universal Fire Mandala Ashes across the sacred sites of the Olmec, putting into action an ancient practice of remembrance and unification of ancient memory. A long awaited return home for the Universal Fire Mandala Ashes.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This journey is a continuation of 5 years of work to build and strengthen a Mexico &#8211; Tibet bridge, while working with various ancestral communities across Mexico and elders from around the world. We thank Akhamani ambassador Venerable Khenpo Tsultrim Tenzin Rinpoche for his continued support and presence towards this effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A possible meeting with the Supreme Olmec Council is pending. Should this meeting occur, the ashes of the Universal Fire Mandala, set aside for Abuelo Fabian, custodian of the Chickaban Fire ashes that united with the Universal Fire Mandala, will be delivered to his daughter, the descendant air to the Chickaban New fire continuity.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As always, we are happy to welcome and sponsor, as participants, Akhamani ambassadors Marakame Emilio, and Leobardo Pe\u00f1a Martinez in this pilgrimage.
